Better than garbage and trash compactor bags. They do periodically get holes. I’ve been averaging about a season out of each liner. You don’t have to worry about scents like many garbage and trash compactor bags come with.

I give them the balloon test after every use, and they’re still holding air. In my opinion, way better than a buckled up dry bag. Certainly lighter and cheaper.

I just ordered a new nylofume liner for my upcoming PCT hike. It’s light and incredibly durable. My last nylofume is still going without a leak after two years. Now if only they could find a way to make it just a little bit quieter. It is a little loud and crinkly when you’re trying to break camp early in the morning and avoid disturbing fellow campers.
