This little sleeping pad inflator is 6x less weight than the next lightest option. How is this possible? The Pad-Pal connects to your power bank via USB-C!

The Pad-Pal is a minimalist electric sleeping pad inflator designed to handle about 95% of the inflation, leaving the last few puffs for the user to achieve their desired firmness. While it's perfect for ultralight hikers who wouldn’t normally carry an electric inflator, hikers accustomed to current inflators on the market should note that the Pad-Pal is louder and more fragile than it's competitors. The trade-offs of ultralight!

Did we mention it doubles as an ultralight fan? :)

Features:

  • 4-speed modes ranging from slowest and quietest to fastest and loudest
  • Can be attached to deflate as well as inflate
  • Comes with attachable adapters for most commonly used ultralight pads. All adapters are included!
  • Water-resistant. Can handle small amounts of splashes and short exposure to rain
  • The V5.2 uses a brushless motor. In controlled testing, it's found to last 1,800 inflation cycles
  • Inflates a typical sleeping pad in 40 to 60+ seconds depending on your pad, elevation, temperature, and other factors
  • Cord and power bank not included

*FAQ: How does it compare to the Alpenblow Micro Inflator? Both are great pad inflators and both weigh about the same! The Pad-Pal has 4 speed settings and will inflate your sleeping pad in 40-60 seconds. While faster than the Alpenblow, it is noticeably louder.

Specs

Dimensions: 1.78" x 1.43" x 0.68" | 4.5cm x 3.6cm x 1.7cm

Weight: 0.32oz | 9g (includes adaptor weight)

Power Consumption:

    • 0.4 amps in mode 1
    • 0.86 amps in mode 2
    • 1.75 amps in mode 3
    • 2.6 amps in mode 4
  • Note: The Pad-Pal uses 30 mAh to inflate a Thermarest NeoAir Uberlite (size regular) sleeping pad on mode 4 (loudest and most inefficient), or 150 mWh. That's about 250 inflations from a 10,000 mAh battery bank. If you inflate once a day, after a week it will consume 2.7% of charge from a 10,000 mAh battery bank.
  • On the low mode the sound is 50-54 decibels. On high it is 70-76 decibels. There is some variance in sound due to propeller imbalance.

SAVES weight, and space!

This little gem is 9 grams and takes up about as much space as an Oreo cookie. My inflation bag for my Big Agnes Rapide SL weighs 55 grams, and takes up 5X the volume. No Brainer since I always carry a small power bank for my phone and headlamp anyway.

Ingenious!

So tiny and clever! I stuck it in a mini hardcase with a couple pair of earplugs and a short USB cable, and it was *brilliant* for inflating our Thermarest Xlites. The short instructional video was really helpful, and it inflated the pads really quickly - about a minute each plus a couple breaths to top them off. I love my Flextail for car camping, but this is such a luxury on a long backpacking trip.

Hope

Bought the pump based on reviews online and was intrigued by the concept of a pump powered by a battery bank. Seemed a no lose situation. Purchased the pump and discovered that none of the included fittings fits my air mattress and was not able to jury rig a fitting. So though I hoped to enjoy it turned into an experiment that did not give me what I hoped for.

Awesome

This little device is amazing. Incredibly lightweight yet sturdy; it pumps up my NeoLite XLite in 60 seconds. I love it!
