Recline in comfort without the weight!
Weighing in at just 1.1 pounds, the Moonlite™ Elite reclining backpacking chair eliminates any excuse to leave comfort behind when you hit the trail, offering both reclining suspension and stable support. The chair’s new suspension system trades webbing for slim cordage that blends HTP and Dyneema®, two fibers that have proven their strength and water-resistance through time-tested use in rock climbing, sailing, and other safety-critical activities. This high-strength cord feeds through a beautifully designed piece of hardware (inspired by belay devices) which is lightweight, unobtrusive, and allows for smooth reclining of the chair.
Both the forged aluminum hubs and molded corner mounts are strategically optimized for weight while maintaining impressive strength and reliable durability. This process of “skeletonizing” the hardware removes every ounce of unnecessary material and is the result of complex design problem-solving and thorough engineering analysis. The result? An elevated, thoughtful design and a true backpacking chair that’s unmatched in the market.
The chair’s seat is made from a custom-engineered, post-consumer recycled mesh that blends polyester and TPU fibers for a seamless design that comfortably cradles the body. This seamless seat attaches to the frame with minimized ball-and-socket connectors that rotate and align with the body to avoid any uncomfortable pressure points.
Features:
- True backpacking-friendly weight at just 1lb 2oz
- Streamlined reclining system - Patent-pending suspension allows you to adjust your sitting angle for dining, working on a laptop, or carefree relaxing
- Skeletonized forged aluminum hubs radically cut weight from the design while providing impressive strength and reliable durability

- Seamless seat design made possible by custom-engineered mesh that conforms better to different body shapes
- Each pole in the frame has a unique diameter and shape optimized for weight and strength

Excellent Support
Haven’t used the items yet but when I had an issue of the USPS for no reason returning the items back to GGG I contacted support and they had my items delivered back to me at no additional cost. GGG will definitely hear from me and my friends in the future.

Absolutely love it sets up nice high-quality super lightweight. I can’t wait to get this baby out on the trail this year. I like it so much I ordered the second one from my little girl.

Chair
It was a gift. The recipient was very pleased with it. It’s lightweight and very nice.

It’s an amazing chair, I got the dud one…
Great chair when together, however mine showed up damaged. Where it damaged it would’ve been a manufacturing error. 😞

Nemo's Moonlight - versatile and worth it
This is my first chair of this type and purpose - a "cry once" for technology of function with form. I bought it as a companion to my motorcycle camping journey's (where I generally carry the exact same load as backpacking), but for a short backpack I will likely take it in lieu of a Z-Pad. I don't know that I would take it on a backpack more than 3 nights as it just adds "stuff" to deal with. I also see it as perfect add for the minimalist car camper when base camping since little time is spent actually at the camp besides eating and enjoying the fire. Pros: light and strong. The adjustable seat back sliders were easy and functional. They did make a difference for either eating or "reclining". The footprint base (which doubles as the burrito wrapper to keep the chair bundled) is a well thought addition for point load dispersion. Cons: As with any chair, the general cumbersome factor is apparent and it doesn't exactly pack down tight due to the pole bundle. I have a 34" waist and felt cramped. A slightly wider front pole angle from the hub wouldn't add any weight and provide a bit more hip room when seated. I am a male with narrow hips as it is.
