I've used a homemade pouch for years but this is a great improvment on my design. It packs down small and is lightweight. It will do the job.

I previously made a DIY version of this, using reflectix, duct tape and Velcro. It worked pretty well, but it was falling apart after a while. Before an A.T. section hike this year, I decided to treat myself to this cool-looking upgrade. It did not disappoint! Durable construction, super lightweight and compact (stuffed it into my bear can easily)…and it kept my food HOT (like really hot) for a LONG time. We had some cold mornings and I would just park my breakfast in this pouch, start breaking down my tent, and come back 10-15min later to a still-piping-hot breakfast. Big win.
Nice, detailed construction
haven’t got to try it yet as the weather is just starting to cool off but am impressed with quality of build. seams, edges, and lid/flap are all really straight & well sewn. not too heavy, if it works as far as keeping meals hot for longer, it’s a winner!
Excellent Product
i bought the white pouch and love this product. it is lightweight, easy to carry, and all of my dehydrated food pouches easily fit in it. additionally, i use stasher products for shorter trips, and the snack, sandwich, quart and small bowl sizes all fit easily. my food stays warm for a long time, and hard to rehydrate food gets soft. this has become an essential part of my gear whether for backpacking, day hikes, picnics, or camping.
