CTUG’s Phone Pocket not only provides convenient access to your phone but also offers the versatility of the front lycra pocket for carrying sunglasses, a protein bar, a power block or more!
The primary velcro flap secures your phone and protects it from dust or rain, while the secondary internal velcro closure system allows you to keep that phone secure in the pocket while having access to your aux/charging port.
**Updated in 2025 to accommodate slightly larger phones. 2024 models run about 1/4" to 1/2" smaller in both width and height.

I have a Google Pixel 8 Pro, which is a larger phone. This case holds the phone, it is a slight bit snug (phone has a low profile case and a card holder) but I really do like this item. It is so nice to have the phone in a very accesible location that is no my pocket. Especially when backpacking, having holding the phone in a pant pocket does not work well as it can be hard to access (for quick photos) given the waist belt of the pack. I found if I put the phone in the leg pocket of my pant, the phone flops around and smaks my leg all day long. So this gadget is great. It holds my phone out of the way, yet I can get to the phone quickly. The CTUG case is rather easy to move from pack to pack and is adjustible to fit many differnt pack sizes and configurations. NO Complaints!

I use my phone frequently during backpacking, mostly to take photos, but also to select music/podcasts and check my GPS map. This shoulder strap pocket makes it super convenient to access my phone and is a big step up from my pants pocket, where the weight of my phone always made my pants sag off of my hips. The pocket is very lightweight and I don’t feel a difference. I colored in the white CTUG label with a black Sharpie to make it a little less high-contrast.

I purchased the smaller size of the CTUG product. It easily installed on my Osprey pack and my new iPhone 15 Pro slipped in easily until I put my OtterBox Defender cover on. Then it was quite snug. I'll be ordering the larger size.

The CTG phone pocket attaches securely to my shoulder strap. It easily holds my phone and backup battery. The pocket closes securely so items do not fall out. I use the CTG phone pocket on all of my packs, including my day packs.
United StatesToo small for my needs
I have an iPhone 15 (not the Plus) with a small case on it, and I also attach a fairly thin Anker magnetic phone grip//kickstand to the back of it. Without the phone grip, my phone did fit (but it was a little tight). With the phone grip, it was really difficult to get my phone in and out. I'd imagine the same applies if you use any type of mag-grip accessory (like a wallet). Unfortunately it didn't work for my needs, but if you only have a small-ish phone and nothing attached to it, this case might work for you.
