Love it!

I purchased the Sternum pack for my section hike in the Smokies. All my snacks fit in it perfectly, It looks small but holds a lot. I started using it as a side ***** pack when I go mountain bike riding to hold my personal belonging and don’t even realize I’m carrying it.

Gets the job done

Keeps paperwork (permits/maps/etc) accessible without struggling. I wish it had a better way to stay put when unbuckling for water crossings.

Hip belt pouch

Works perfectly on my 20 year old Gregory pack that doesn’t have hip belt pockets. The cords attaching the pouch to the hip belt are secure so the pouch doesn’t slip off when putting on/taking off the pack. My phone and other small item stayed dry during a light rain.

Weak effort

Would be a pain to use with sternum strap as it will make reaching the buckle hard. The small cord on the side make it floppy. Left needle holes in fabric. Threw it in a pile of never to be used gear.

Very practical

this is excellent and so far fits all my packs (vanquest, granite gear, six moons designs and fjällräven.) i give it only 4 stars for 2 reasons. i am using this to hold navigation aids; phone (galaxy s22 plus), maps, and guidebook. your average guide book is 4.5", same as the height of this pouch so it's a squeeze so just a 1/8 to 1/4" taller and the size would be perfect. also i seam sealed it because obviously the paper stuff. i would pay $35.00 if it came sealed from the factory and both of these changes would make this a 5 star item.
