I like this thermometer because it lets me dial in my sleep system with accurate data. I recently bought a 20f quilt and tried it out over the weekend. Even though the forecast called for high 30s, my thermometer only recorded a low of 48. I can say that I actually don’t know if my quilt will keep me warm into the 30s instead of thinking it will based off the weather forecast. I like real data.

I wear this when I’m biking to work and plan on bringing it with me backpacking. It’s a simple concept. The thermometer also lets you read the minimum and maximum temperatures which is neat. I would like it if the key ring was attached to the device when I got it. It was such a pain to put on, and I imagine most people will use the key ring? That might be just my experience.

This is such a great little thermometer! It is very light and seems durable. I use a mini carabiner as a keychain and keep it there, and also I remove my keys and clip it to my backpack or a loop on my clothes- I think it was slightly more accurate clipped to my pants than my coat. So far I took it camping on Maui (including on Mount Haleakala) and to Manitoba. It was helpful on both trips, and is nice for walking and hiking at home too. I have changed the battery once since I got it about 9 months ago and it was not difficult. In Churchill in February, there was one night where it got colder than the lowest temperature the thermometer can handle and it displayed “LLL”. It got dunked in snow a few times when we were snowshoeing and that was not a problem. I am a huge fan and highly recommend!

Works exactly as expected. Tested it out for the first time in the Adirondacks High Peaks region for an overnight trip and it passed with flying colors. Price, shipping and service were all great and I will definitely be buying from GGG again.
