The Ultraglide Bear Line was specifically designed to be used as a bear bagging line. It is Ultra Strong, Ultra Slick, Ultra Light and Ultra Tough. Which means that the UltraGlide effortlessly glides and slides over tree limbs and will not get hung up. Testers have commented that it feels like there is a pulley in the tree. The cord features a double color fleck which adds a pop of color to the line and protects the reflective tracer from abrasion.
After braiding, the line is pre-stretched and polished which makes the surface extra smooth. While its super slick, it holds knots well. Lawson recommends a little extra tail on your knots. This is the best bear bagging line out there.

I didn't end up using it for a bear hang, but...
This product performed great. I got it to use at isle royale to hang our food from the wolves, but I ended up not needing for that because we secured a shelter almost every night. I did use it as a line to dry my clothes and such, and it did great. It slides nicely, so if that's what you need this is great.
Best Bear Hang Line
The 3.5mm Ultraglide Bear Line is great. Just tested it out for 4 nights of canoe-camping in Algonquin Park. After using (and frequently untangling) paracord for decades, AND after recently trying Gossamer Gear's 2mm Dynaglide, I am delighted with the thicker Ultraglide. The Dynaglide was slippery-er, but was just too thin, painfully cutting into my hands while hoisting more than 3-4 lbs of food; it was also so slippery as to be nearly impossible to grip while rigging a clove hitch or even a toggle for a PCT-style hang. Furthermore, the Dynaglide always wanted to grab and wrap around every stick, twig, frond, leaf stem, and blade of grass within a 4-foot radius on the ground or in nearby trees; I couldn't imagine trying to manage it with gloves on. IN CONTRAST, the 3.5mm Ultraglide was easy to handle, rig, tie-off and haul, even with 12 pounds of food. To be sure, it occasionally snagged stuff, but due to its beefier size and 'hand', often could be unsnagged with a flick of the wrist. The white and orange cord is very easy to spot in daylight, and the reflective tracer is a game changer at night. Well worth the extra weight (4.3 oz. vs. 1.3 oz. for the Dynaglide). I did not try the 2.3mm Ultraglide, but it might be a worthy contender.
Nice light weight line
Very nice rope, light weight and easy to use. I didn't have the need to use it as a bear line but did use it as a clothes line.
great for bear bag hang
The rope slides over tree branches easily. This probably reduces damage to the trees, and also makes it easier to manage. Highly recommended.
Great for bear bag
Just the right size to hoist a heavy food bag without cutting in to your hand while staying light weight at 50'. Also easy to find before sunrise with the reflective marks.
