Ultralight backpacking trowels made from titanium. It is as light as it gets!
For those interested in the highest performing, most comfortable, ultralight and user friendly trowel, the Tark Titanium Hybrid is the way to go. The blade and body is grade 5 titanium, thin, and extremely stiff for cutting through tough ground and roots, while the perimeter of the handle encompasses a thick, dual stacked ridge of beautifully anodized aluminum to protect your hand. A number of cut-outs along the body and edges allow you to use it in many different ways such a a tent stake, dead man anchor, and even lash a stick to it to use as an extended handle.

Outstanding
The Tark Titanium Hybrid Backpacking Trowel handle isn't too rough on the hands, but it would be nice if there was just a little more thickness at the top. Lot of roots in my area and I was shocked how well it ripped through roots up to about 3/8" of an thick (Use it like a pull saw). It's very sturdy and I have not been nice to it. It's just big enough to be effective. I wouldn't want anything smaller, but I don't think I'd want it any larger either. 5 stars from this guy
Impressive
I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but it feels impressive. It’s smaller than I expected (glad I didn’t get the smallest one) but still a reasonable size. It weights nothing. Feels very sturdy. I am a little concerned with the sharp edges while it’s in my pack. I’ll probably work out some kind of sleeve to cover it.
Won’t slice your hand!
I’ve tried several brands of hand trowel and this one doesn’t feel like it wants to slice your hand as you are digging. Used ‘24 on my JMT thru-hike. Highly recommend.
The best trowl
Simply the best trowl I've used. Lighter, comfortable grip, and efficient. The only downside, it's a bit more expensive.
Great digger, kind on your hands
Does as advertised. Digs holes. The saw blade on the shovel edge was sadly not accessible to a root i needed cutting through. Angles and a lack of effort kept me from really using it as a saw! Also used as a tent peg when the aforementioned root won the battle and kept half an MSR mini groundhog… suluk makes stellar stuff!
