Heather's Choice loves Indian food, which is why they needed to put their beloved chicken saag in a bag to take with them everywhere. This recipe is full of an unspeakable amount of spinach, organic ghee, and turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Did we mention it's also full of protein from organic chicken? Enjoy this meal with a slice of garlic naan and a cup of hot chai for a meal that's reminiscent of your favorite takeout.

I love it. Bears love to smell it.
This is one of my absolute favorite backpacking meals. I love the spinach content so I can feel like I am actually eating a vegetable on trail. Recently I was solo at a campsite on the New England Trail. I was sitting alone on a log eating this meal and suddenly a recently active post-winter young black bear came strolling down the access trail to the site clearly smelling my delicious meal. We had to have a few very loud conversations before it finally left. There's not much food around right now, so I get why it would want my curry but you can't have it, bear!!!
Almost there…
i wanted to love this. the ingredients looked awesome, but unfortunately the taste just wasn’t there. it almost tastes like chicken saag, but is missing the part that makes saag so good, the cream. if it had some coconut milk powder and some more salt, it could be amazing. but as is, it just tastes like bland rice and spinach with a few chicken shreds. the rice did cook really well.
Seriously so good
2nd night on the trail, i had a serious headache and was nauseous. i knew i needed to eat something, but man, it needed to taste good. this entree fit the bill. cooked well (no crunchies) and tasted incredible! on a second trip, my picky 14 y/o son had it. i was afraid he would see that it was "spinach curry" and reject it, but he loved it too! 5 stars for the win!
