Cartwheel here, reporting live, in true dirtbag fashion, from my brother's couch in San Francisco, during my quad-zero foot injury recovery time. I'm currently at the halfway point on my Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike attempt.
Honestly, it's been a whirlwind of happiness, love, pain, tears, filth, and mother nature's sweet embrace as well as harsh truths. This attempt has taught me so much about who I want to be in this world. I would like to be who I am on trail in my everyday life; present, full of life, wonder, excitement, cautious and eager to see what is around the next corner.
The trail has been so much more than just a hike or adventure, it has been my greatest teacher and I am only halfway done. I don't know what else the trail has to teach me, but I am so ready for her to better me, challenge me and strengthen me. Stay tuned for the second half, this is just halftime.
