Good luck finding a pillow lighter than the Flex Air! Initially designed for use in hospitals, these featherweight pillows inflate and deflate in just seconds. When not inflated, Flex Air pillows lie flat, and they can be easily adjusted to suit the pillow firmness you desire. The outside of the Flex Air is covered in a non-woven poly material, making for a comfortable sleeping experience.
The Flex Air makes a great pillow for under your head, lumbar support while sleeping on your back or some padding for between your legs. The perfect flexible pillow without the weight!
Features:
- Reusable
- Inflatable by straw or by breath
- Deflated by straw or another long item (stake/pole/utensil handle)

Crazy lite & Crazy cheap... just what I needed
I sometimes feel like the best items for camping/hiking must be sophisticated or can't be cheap yet efficient. I beg the outdoor lord to prove me wrong like with this pillow anytime!! The only pillow I had in the past 20 years that is up to my needs is weighting barely 10 oz and is Nalgene size! Being a barrel chested guy AND a side sleeper I need a pillow to reache my head before supporting it. That flex air pillow can inflate to a bit more than 8 inch thick.... yet it weighs near to zielch /nada / zero... Again... I'm already ready to replace any of my gear by things from another typical use that are cheap and efficient yet comfy.
Exploded!
A quick try out on my sitting room floor - it exploded within 2 seconds. Seems like a neat idea, but not something I'd depend on in the field.
Additional support
I'm a side sleeper but all camp pillow leave my head at an angle. This will stack under my existing pillow to keep my head level.
Minimal, yet comfortable
It added next to no weight and bulk to be able to bring this as an extra pillow on a recent multi-day bike packing trip. I tend to bring less and less stuff over time, and can see this becoming a primary. I suppose its possible to put this in a bag stuffed with a piece of clothing, with a cord to keep it in place. But as it is, it achieves being the most minimal before doing without a pillow. If I'm packing less, its less likely to crush a straw, but I can always get another from a restaurant as a backup. It has a soft coating that feels enough like fabric to be comfortable. Going to pick up a few more, just to have them and maybe gift a few.
