You might still need to add an extra breath or two at the end to get to a firmness that you enjoy on your mattress pad.

*FAQ: How does it compare to the Pad-Pal by Rex Creations? Both are great pad inflators and both weigh about the same! The Alpenblow takes a bit longer to inflate (about 3 minutes to inflate) but it is substantially quieter and can inflate when connected to your phone.

This inflator is very small and quiet. I have a Tensor pad, so the first thing I had to do was remove the pink adapter that came installed on it and put the correct nozzle on. The adaptor is slightly flexible, but I did end up gently using needle nose pliers to get it off the rim. The same with stretching the correct one on. It reminded me of what it's like to fix a flat on my road bike... I also felt like I had to be super careful not to break anything, and I'm definitely not going to be changing that out every time I use it. My partner has a different brand pad, so I guess he'll have to bring his own inflator. It took 3min45sec to fill the Tensor and I had to add 3 breaths to get it to the level I prefer it. I plugged it into my phone to run and the battery dropped 1%. I can't speak to the longevity of it and I can see it'll have to be packed and handled gently, but I feel like at 0.3ounces, it's a good replacement for my 3.1ounce foxtail.

This will inflate my Exped Ultra 3R Mummy in about 2 minutes. I only need to add one breath to finish it off. Amazing. Very quiet, very low current draw. I'll be storing this in my cook kit for protection. Happy customer!

Just a few test runs so far, but working perfectly to inflate a Nemo Tensor & Thermarest XLite. Probably needs 2-3 strong puffs at the end, but at EIGHT GRAMS (wow!), more thgan happy with that!! This is going in my ‘must use’ kit for sure.
