Although I was only able to complete 750 miles of the PCT in 2024, it wasn't because of my pillow. Be sure to get the Velcro that attaches the pillow to your pad so it doesn't slide around (like every pillow). The down really gives that little bit of extra comfort. Instead of laying your face on a freezing pillow, the down insulates just well enough to make it feel more like a pillow at home. The size is great. Not too big. Not too small. (both in terms of thickness and in terms of footprint. I've used maybe 5 other pillows and this is the most comfortable and durable pillow I've used. It's more expensive than I would like, but I'm quite happy with the purchase.

I thought this pillow might be flocked on one side or have fabric which would not slide as easy. The pillow is too slippery to stay in place. It will not be my go to pillow.
