This is my favorite coffee for backpacking. Easy, tastes awesome! I’d do it every day if I won the lottery.

    Not for hiking

i was not impressed with these at all. most of them had opened up by time i got to them on a 5 day hike. you also need to be extremely careful when pouring water in. the small filter leaves little room for error. the couple that were still usable did produce good coffee, however due to the durability i switched back to instant coffee.

Great coffee if you must have pour-over

Yummy coffee! I appreciate the light weight and the ingenuity of the mug-edge-perch. I wondered about it hanging low enough to sit in the coffee once the cup was more than half-full, but then I watched a video that showed that that's purposeful, and that it can be left to steep a bit for a stronger cup. I have to say, though, with so many great instant coffee options on here, I think instant will be my choice for wilderness and travel use.
