Will Buy Again

Very flavorful and hearty but not overly heavy. Enjoyed every bite. If you like your chili soupy then follow the directions. If you like it thicker add a little less water and increase to desired consistency. Delay adding cornbread as long as possible if you want chunks, otherwise it is really a thickening agent. None of these suggestions are negative IMO, it was great according to directions but will alter it a bit next time.

Needed a little seasoning, but very good!

Brought this with me on a recent trip and thought it was very good, but a little bland. I had some fast food salt and pepper packets with me and one of each made a huge difference. After I seasoned it, I’d say it was the best veggie backpacking chili I’ve tried. The texture and flavors of the vegetables and cornbread were really good and I would absolutely bring this again.

And there's cornbread??

a standout, really good bowl of chili on its own! plus the addition of cornbread put it over the top for me. the chili had a nice balance of heartiness and flavor. the cornbread got nice and moist with out feeling soggy... magic! for my taste, i will add some spice next time. i didn't get any heat on the tongue but i like my chili on the flaming side. should be nice for the mild eaters!

Read the Instructions

Admittedly, I did not read the instructions, so I left the cornbread in the mix and messed it up. However, I felt it was a little lacking in flavor.
