United States United StatesPerfect after a little modding
I tried the GG put pocket but the shape and size didn't work well with my Toaks 550. I was going to try to make the GG pot pocket work by switching to the Toaks 650 but due to fate and the help of a GGG employee I ended up trying this pot pocket. There is room for improvement for sure with the cut out for the handles- it is too high for my handles, the opening gapes a bit, and is an area either for heat to escape or for you to burn the **** out of your hand if you're not paying attention. I hand-sewed elastic across the gap which makes it fit snugly with the handles in and it's comfortable to hold IMO with no handles. Positives are it's super light and I really like the fabric's color and feel. I wanted my pot to be protected and to be comfortable to drink hot drinks out of and this accomplishes that perfectly. I use a silicone band to attach the rest of my cook kit to the top with my fuel can in the pot wrapped in a piece of bandana. 1 star reduction for having to mod, but I'll say that for the price I didn't mind having to mod at all. My suggestion to Toaks would be to make them simple cylinders and leave out the opening for the handle altogether. If anything, a grosgrain ribbon on the outside would be plenty as a handle, like on the GG pot pocket.

This fits the 750mL Toaks pot like a glove, and based on how well it prevents the heat of the pot's water from burning my hand, it's insulating pretty well; it'd be perfect if it was maybe an inch or so taller, but that might make inserting the pot tricky.

I was really hoping this would be a good replacement for my homemade reflectix koozie. Unfortunately it is a big disappointment. Way too short for my 750 ml pot, just not a good fit.

I really liked being able to hold my Toaks pot like a bowl to eat from rather than just like a cup. These weigh nothing and take up back pocket space.
