A favorite of long-distance backpackers, The Torrid Jacket offers warmth, wind protection, and moisture resistance at an ultralight weight. Designed to keep you warm while keeping your pack light, the jacket starts at just 7.60 ounces (215g). Built using 2oz/yd² Climashield™ APEX synthetic insulation, the Torrid maintains warmth and breathability even when damp.
The smooth ultralight nylon fabric has a durable water-repellent finish for better performance in light precipitation. The adjustable waistband and elastic cuffs keep warmth in and cold out. The optional hood adjusts with a shock cord, and a grosgrain zipper garage at the chin increases comfort. Zippered pockets keep the essentials at hand. The Torrid Jacket is slightly oversized to accommodate layers and has raglan sleeves for a full range of movement. For those who won’t let the weather get in the way, the Torrid Jacket is the perfect 3-season layer.

United StatesIt's marvelous cut and light as a hair (metaphor) I think it's a wonderful jacket that has a remarkably smooth zipper. A warm and nicely fit to my body. Well not as packable as I was hoping to be it is comfortable down to 30°f and easy to move in. I am in love with this puffy. The single nicest jacket I own.

I love this jacket. It is an outdoor enthusiast jacket and ultra lightweight, so you have to stay moving to keep warm, or at least to get the jacket warm, and then it's WARM. Best to wear a wool or wicking base layer because there is no ventilation. Do note that if you are new to ultralight gear it is naturally more delicate, so you will need to be gentle with the zipper and be sure to keep the jacket away from heat sources because it is not durable by any means. But it is warm warm warm and super lightweight and I love it!
