Women Who Dare started after Kerry Gross read the back of a Clif Bar and wanted it to be as easy to find stories of women’s adventures as it was to read that packaging about a guy and his adventures with his guy friends.
So last spring she set off to ride her bike 5,700 miles across the country, meeting and interviewing remarkable women along the way. The Women Who Dare podcast tells the story of that journey.
I feel incredibly honored to be one of the women that Kerry went out of her way to meet and interview. A fellow adventure racer, who I got to know while we were both temporarily lost during a 15-hour race, gave Kerry my name.
In my conversation with Kerry, which was recorded last June and just recently published, we talked about how Garage Grown Gear got its start, how I’ve balanced entrepreneurship with family life and endurance racing, and how failure and setbacks are inevitably part of the journey.
I hope you enjoy!
P.S. Make sure you check out the other Women Who Dare podcast episodes. They're available on iTunes, Stitcher or wherever you get your podcasts. I’ve found them all to be both entertaining and motivating.
