Smartwool step aside
i used to be a smartwool loyalist, then i was getting new socks for a nols semester two years ago and my older brother told me i should give these a try. i am never going back, they just hug your feet so well, these are hands down the best hiking socks, totally worth the price. after 90 days in the back country i couldn't believe how happy my feet were in these socks. i also used them on the haute route from chamonix to zermatt. i brought two pair and was super pleased i was able to alternate them each day and they washed and dried very well.

in winter i wear wool socks, but for warmer months, these are now my go-to. great fit and elasticity and comfort and colors!
