We stress-tested two sets last weekend in the jungle waterfall routes of Boquete Panama and Volcan Baru in some difficult and messy route conditions. Having another couple points of stability contact was never more welcome. The real cork grips were great in heavy downpour and muddy scramble conditions. They are within an ounce or two of the most expensive poles on the market, but at a fraction of MSRP. Three piece quick release design deploys quickly, intuitively, and are rock solid. Come with snow baskets. Recommend the universal rubber end caps for cobble stones and sidewalks.
