Ideal for three-season use, the Windom Hood is a perfect complement to quilt-style sleeping bags.
Elastic binding seals out drafts while being comfortable against your face, and will not restrict your vision. Adjustable underarm straps keep the hood in place on your head, ensuring that the hood stays where you want it no matter how much you toss and turn. The underarm straps can be left at home if you do not need them, saving .25 ounces.
The Windom Hood will keep you warm while sleeping, hiking, or being active in camp. For typical use between 20°F - 50°F | -7°C - 10°C.

So light and warm!
i live in northern canada and enjoy hiking american long trails, and bought this for two purposes: 1. as a hood to go with a lovely, old, 900-fill down parka that i inherited. it’s excellent for this purpose, although i may take off the bungee cords when i’m not planning any camping trips. 2. to extend my hoodless feathered friends flicker 20f into a warmer bag. i have not used it for this purpose yet, but i don’t like mummy bags as i inevitably find the hood in my face partway through the night. i think with the bungee cords it will work really well.

Wish I had bought this sooner
Silly me: I suffered months of cold-headed camping, barely squeaking by in a beanie, before ordering this life-changing down hood. I've never needed to wear the bungee straps and may unhook them, but they've never bothered me either.

Very light and warm, but not for me
The hoodie was light and warm, well designed with the option to have bungee cords looping around your armpits. Unfortunately, for me the hood face opening feels too small, and the bottom part rides uncomfortably on my chin. I was able to return without any issue (thanks GGG!).
