The most minimalist camp shoes anywhere, the Nymphs are lighter than a Snicker's bar, and 7 grams lighter than the Imagos. They're ultra-ultralight, and roughly half a pound lighter than even the lightest of other “lightweight” outdoorsy sandals, making them great for backpackers, bikepackers, hunters, and other lightweight adventurers.

The Nymph goes between the toes!

Handmade from tough/durable Coroplast (the stuff they make yar signs out of) and strong nylon cord, these camp shoes are absurdly adjustable, exceedingly comfortable, super colorful, easy to pack, and easier to clean. They're also made in the USA and guaranteed to last... which is why Liz 'Snorkel' Thomas (triple-crowner, AT speed record holder, and author of 'Long Trails: Mastering the Art of the Thru-Hike") calls them an "amazing game-changer" and carries them in her pack.

Features:

  • Ultralight - one pair weighs as much as 20 gummi bears
  • Durable - made of tough coroplast and strong, reinforced nylon cord
  • Adjustable - innovative design allows for adjustment in five ways, so they'll fit whatever paws you've got
  • Comfortable - as snug as socks, but breathable and protective and not manky
  • Grippy - to prevent slipping, just the right amount of laser-cut nonskid (on both sides)
  • Colorful
  • Easy to clean - dunk 'em in a creek (they don't absorb water), or use almost any cleaner, from alcohol to Dr. Bronner's
  • Superpackable - since each shoe is super-thin, and the cords are so flexible, you can stuff 'em in almost any pack

Fit: Sizes are shown in Men's sizing, Women's sizing +2. If you're in-between sizes, size up!

    Shipping error

I requested the sandal in the image, indeed, but I received a cardboard sandal, instead of the T-shaped one, the other model, with the ribbon above the toes. Very unfortunate and not recommended. I won't buy more

Good, but know what the limits are.

I used 2 pairs of these on my NOBO AT thru hike (swapped out a new pair at Harpers Ferry) They are meant as a simple barrier between your feet and the ground. I used them to air out my feet while setting up my tent and shower sandals at hostels. They are not meant for water crossings or for extensive walking. As long as you know what the limits are and use them for such occasions they will last. Bought myself another set for my PCT thru hike.

    Single use Sandals

When I say single use, I don't mean one trip or one extended usage. I literally mean one step. Don't be tempted by the potential weight savings. You will end up carrying these up a mountain brand new, and carrying them out as trash on the way down. There are other cons like comfort and grip, but I expected that. I expected them to not be durable, but they need to last more than a couple steps. The problem is less of a QC problem and more of a design problem. The straps are too thin for the thin plastic they are stitched through. Just walking tears the strap from the base.

    Good customer services

Great little company. There was some confusion over an order/sizing issue that was sorted out amicably and fairly. Will def use again. UK costumer.

One time use and not functional

these are light. but it’s a piece of cardboard tied to your foot. they aren’t convenient to get on and off, they slide on surfaces because they are essentially a plastic cardboard, and they get extremely scratched up with light use. i used them as campsite sandals on a ul trip and they got thrashed. i don’t recommend. in fact, i never write reviews, but disliked the experience enough to feel compelled to write this. i want this product to work, but they need more r&d on materials. a coat of rubber on the sole would go a long way.
