            Quality Bag

9L which holds all my cooking gear. Nice quality....but way too expensive! I have never had a defective bag from Hyperlite, so maybe it really isn't. Quality has a price.

            My son loves them

I picked this up for my Son's Christmas present (well, one of them), and he absolutely loves the sack. He replaced a different sack with this one and he said it is literally one tenth the weight of the old one.

seam is glued: bag got hot, adhesive turned gooey, bag split open down one side, then glued itself to my down bag when it cooled

Last month I bought two Hyperlite dyneema drawstring stuffsacks before I flew to Seattle for a Cascades backpacking trip. The side seam is glued together and when it got hot (on tarmac waiting to transfer my checked bag between jets?), the adhesive turned gooey and stuffsack split open all down one side, and my sleeping bag pushed out the hole. Then when the adhesive cooled again, it glued the stuffsack securely to my $480 1.5 lb 20 degree bag with 850-fill down. I was sure I was going to rip the shell of the bag trying to peel the Hyperlite stuffsack off my bag. Emailed HLM 8 days ago to ask for advice on removing gobs of adhesive left on the shell of my bag - no response. Posted a review 8 days ago to Hyperlite website with two pics of my sleeping bag poking out the side of Hyperlite stuffsack. My review never showed up on their site. I liked the quality of a shoulder pocket, a waist pack, and a wallet aI bought 2-3 yrs ago (all had sewn seams), though zipper did just fail on waist pack. Hey, anyone can have quality issue on a single product. But suppressing negative reviews? Anyone's guaranteed to get all five star reviews that way. Now I'm losing confidence in their their customer support, their business ethics, and the trustworthiness of their online reviews all in one fell swoop.
