Serious design flaws
don't buy a pack with a front mesh pocket. that is, unless you want all of your things to wind up on the ground. the material is simply not tall enough and is too loose to really hold anything. you have to fill your pack a great deal to be able to hold anything in the front pouch. but take something out or the contents of your pack shift and.....everything is on the ground again. the phone pouch is another great way to lose your phone. same story. too shallow and too loose. these packs need to be redesigned.
Summit bum is clutch! (Pun intended)?
Super light and roomy pack! I carried a bunch of keys and two large phones in it while I ran across the Coronado bridge and didn’t notice the pack at all. Super psyched to use it on day hikes!
Fantastic ***** Pack
got this in white ultra. really great design and solid construction. carries a lot of weight/bulk well (small camera, piles of snacks, assorted small items). front mesh pocket does absorb quite a bit of water, and is too loose to work well unless pack is fully crammed. but it is there if needed. get a comfy strap to go with and enjoy!
Been using it nonstop.
The Thrupack is even better than I imagined it'd be. It's very comfortable. Also, I was really hesitant to order the comfy strap because I had doubts it was going to be worth the money, and now I fully admit I was wrong. It is as comfortable as the name suggests and I'd certainly recommend buying it if you're picking up this bag.
Perfect companion
love this with all my packs. sits perfectly between the hip pockets of my mariposa for overnight adventures, or i use with my ultralight bag which has no hip belt at all. add the comfy strap to make it the perfect bum/*****/hip bag out there.
