A recently launched Kickstarter caught the eye of the GGG team for a few reasons …
1. Thru-Hiker Founded
My name's Josh, though on trail I go by Cheese Curd. I'm an AT thru-hiker (class of '21) and an all-around gear geek. I graduated in May with a degree in software engineering, and, like most of my peers, decided to spend the summer making the perfect fanny pack.
The idea to start a gear company first came about as a way of staying connected with the trail community. I hope to use my software background to open up new ways for customizing hiking gear.
2. A Fanny Pack that Carries Everything You Need on a Hike
There's 2 things you need on almost every day hike that won't fit in an average fanny pack: an extra layer of clothing and water. Our fanny pack has jacket straps and removable water bottle pouches that hold up to 1L each.
3. Customized with a Topographic Map of Your Favorite Place on Earth
Choose your favorite color and favorite place to be printed on our fanny pack. Our product customizer will let you choose any region on earth to be printed on your bag, whether it's a topographic map of Yosemite Valley or your own backyard.
4. Made with ECOPAK
ECOPAK is a 100% recycled polyester laminate, made from upcycled plastic water bottles. It's durable, waterproof and UV-resistant.
Interested? Back the Kickstarter to help Josh fund the first production run … so we can then start carrying Acromoda fanny packs on GGG!

The water bottle holder section might also be a great place to hold bear spray!
