Great so far after one trip. I hung it two nights and tied it up two nights. I like the versatility and weight. I don't think I'd like to deal with it after it gets wet though.

Bought the XL to have room for the Ursack critter proof bag inside that I already owned. Works great and so much easier than the tree hang I have always done in the past. There’s a weight penalty for sure but it’s worth it.
Heavy but I'm hoping worth it
expensive and heavier than hanging a standard stuff sack. i am always cautious to carry low odor foods into the backcountry and i always hang my bag. even so the ursack helps me feel like i'm being responsible in the backcountry. i hope it holds up and proves itself worth the extra cost and weight.
lighten your load
having used a hard sided bear canister for years it was nice to upgrade to the ursack and lighten my pack. so easy to tie to a tree. here in parts of colorado the aluminum liner is required yet still lighter than the old hard side. also really easy to clean at the end of your trip.
Strong, easy to use, durable
if - i strongly emphasize this - you use the ursack with a loksak smell-proof liner, you’ll have very good protection of your food and other smellables from bears and other critters. i used this combo on my colorado trail thru-hike this summer and my food was never disturbed. meanwhile i saw people having trouble finding trees that would work for bear bag hangs. be sure to follow their directions on how to tie the sack closed and how to tie it to a tree - there are plenty of youtube videos to guide you. is it heavy? yes - but much less heavy than a canister.
