No matter how ultralight you are, there is something everyone needs before pushing out a massive amount of mileage for the day…and that is a killer cup of coffee! The Kapik Titanium Coffee Drip will let you turn grams of coffee grind into a wonderfully hot morning companion to get the gears working just right. Just pull out your collapsed Kapik, assemble it and place it overtop your vessel, add a #2 coffee filter, fill with coffee and pour some freshly boiled water into it…voila! You have an ultralight cup of coffee.

The Kapik Titanium Coffee Drip is easily assembled into a pyramid funnel and folds down just as quick. Made of titanium, a quick rinse will get this clean and the hot water and coffee grinds will have no effect on the material. You can adjust how strong your cup of coffee is by the amount of coffee grinds used. Make it with 30 grams if you need a serious injection or even more if you are a pure addict, cut that amount in half for a light refresher or anywhere in between. No matter how you like your morning coffee, this will have you covered.

The Kapik Titanium Coffee Drip consists of 4 pieces that interlock into each other to create a pyramid style funnel. The out-rigging legs rest securely onto any vessel with a diameter of 4 1/2″ or smaller and the tabs at the end prevent it from sliding off in the event that you get a bit too excited during your pour.

    Coffee in the field

I love quality coffee so I was excited to try this. While it is light and helped make a good cup of coffee the juice may not be worth the squeeze. The recommend filters fell apart. I bought another style and it worked. But one slow cup at a time may not be worth it. Difficult to put together, I found quality instant coffee that may not be as good as my high quality expresso grind, but the ROI is greater. I can make more cups quickly and get the day started rather than spending lots of time on a single cup with greater effort. It’s really neat but not worth the trouble.

    Great piece of gear

i typically am a pour over coffee maker at home .. it took me only a minute or so to assemble the dripper .. i cut a small piece of copper electrical house wire leaving the black and white insulation on the wire .. i slipped it through the top of the "key hole" shaped slot near the bottom of the dripper .. i folded over the bottom of my #4 coffee filter .. put in two scoops of my ground coffee .. poured in the water .. the wire supported the bottom of the filter very nicely .. no issues at all .. took it apart .. i have a small zippered mesh pouch which the dripper and wire fit nicely in .. all is flat and fits into the interior side pocket in by bike panniers .. i think this is going to be a nice addition to my morning & evening coffee ritual ... glenn

works well enough, but makes a small mess

it’s pretty neat how it packs and assembles, but occasionally makes a coffee mess. you have to fold your filter edges so they only meet with the flat parts, otherwise much coffee runs down the corners and down the sticky outy parts and outside the cup! and this even happens sometimes with carefully folded filter. i weighed the plastic filter cone in my kitchen and weight-wise there is not much difference. it is so packable, though. once i lost it in my bear can for a whole two day trip and thought i’d forgotten it at home 😂

    good compact coffee maker

i like the idea it folds flat and weighs 1.5 oz. be sure to use good quality paper filters and fold up the bottom as there isn't much support or else the filter will split and dump grounds in your coffee.

    Lightweight Coffee Pour Over

Some reviews complain that it is difficult to assemble. It is my considered opinion that those who think its difficult would have a hard time ripping themselves out of a wet paper bag. It is easy, it is light and I give it 4 stars out of 5 only because the paper filter sometimes get caught in the seams when extracting the filter from the holder.
