Function over Ego

My Aarn Bodypack saved my hiking life. I must have arthritis or something going on... my back was killing me! Tried an Aarn pack and no pain! If you've not seen or heard about these.... all (or as much as you want, it's adjustable on-the-fly!), the weight is on your hips. And don't listen to the haters about the front pockets. Do they look strange? Sure, but why am I hiking? To look suave and debonair or to get out and see and smell and hear and love the outdoors? And yes, you can see your feet - the front pockets do not obscure your ability to see where you are stepping at all. So that's the upside. A little heavier than ultralight, maybe just "light". And the straps take a bit to adjust to get that body hugging fit, a learning curve. Back to pros, can't help it, the materials and workmanship are spot on. Water-proof liners for all three compartments, front bags and main ought to be included, but you might want to double check. Once dialed in, this bag is a dream to carry.
