Almost Perfect
The Lunar Solo is almost perfect. It's very light, sheds water well, roomy inside for storing your pack next to you, long enough for this 6'2" hiker, and has good ventilation for humid environments. I'd give it 5 stars if just two things were different - 1) if the trekking poles went in point-side-down. The handle of the poles on the ground don't grip in enough, which leads to 2) the vestibule fabric doesn't go low enough to the ground. It allows for ventilation, but if you're in an area with any kind of wind (desert, prairie, etc) the breeze blows in under the vestibule and creates a wind tunnel effect which can lead to the pole pulling up and away and sliding out of the ground, essentially collapsing the tent. This happened to me in the Alabama Hills at the foot of the Sierra. Ground was very rocky and the pole wouldn't stay it place when the wind caught the tent like a sail and knocked it over in the night. So I find this tent to perform best in more wooded campsite locations like here in Minnesota and/or softer ground where the stakes and pole won't slip out of their spots.

Great budget tent
I’ve had this out about 7 nights so far and am happy with the purchase. Living space is slightly smaller than I’d hope. I’m 5’10 145lbs and found that there’s enough headspace for you to sit, but I recommend finding sticks to guy out the head and foot, this creates tons more head room and helps with wind. Ps put ur trekking pole an inch or so to the inside of tent at bottom leaning out to the top.this will tighten the back wall of the tent tons was on the coast with 30-40mph gust and it made a huge difference.
Worked great on TRT & in AK
used this tent on several backpacking trips close to home in alaska. held up well in the rain and cold. used it for a tahoe rim trail thru hike in august 23 and it worked great. after some practicing pitching this tent is a breeze and typically finished set up in a couple of minutes max. plenty of room inside for my gear and me (including my backpack). going to order another one from my son to take on a backpacking trip in scotland.

Hammock guy comes back to earth (for now)
Typically a hammock guy - but doing 10 passages on the AZT - thought a hammock from a saguaro might be a dumb idea… Perfect size- nice width in a 1+ and light. Had to seal seams myself - not too hard but took some time.

Lunar Solo
It is light and set up extremely easily. Can’t wait to use it in 2023.!
