An ultralight sleeping pad for the ounce-counters, kids, and Scouts
A 3/4 length version of the original is perfect for ounce counters, kids, and shorter campers. Sometimes, a full-length pad simply isn’t necessary to get the job done. The Static V Short™ is virtually identical to the original Static V™ - including V-Chambers and dynamic side rails for greater comfort - but it measures almost two feet shorter for those who don’t need the extra length.
Features:
- Shortest pad in the Static series
- Soft, quiet, and rugged material
- V-shaped design delivers superior support and comfort no matter how you sleep – on your side, stomach, or back
- Raised V-chambers maximize loft and warmth, creating comfortable loft pockets that support the body's pressure points
- Side rails make it easier to stay on the pad through the night
-
Valve allows for inflation in as few as six breaths, and the deflate valve opens wide for rapid, complete deflation. The mechanism creates a secure seal and helps prevent inadvertent opening
Includes:
- Static V™ Short Sleeping Pad
- Patch kit
- Stuff sack

Tough and durable
Sometimes full grown adults are short. This pad is perfect in length. I have used the same short static v pad since 2013, no holes, no leaks. It is rugged and has held up to years of long trails and mostly desert backpacking. When I was looking to buy a pad I wanted one that took very few breaths (asthma) and didn't need any additional accessories (i.e. air sack to blow up) to add more weight. Even on days when breathing has been difficult I have been able to get this pad inflated properly. Also, as an active sleeper, it is importantly comfortable for side sleeping! There are 2 things I wish the company would do: 1. Like all pads it would be nice if it was 6" wider so that your arms can be at your side on the pad when sleeping on your back or stomach, but that isn't any different than industry standard unfortunately. (But come on pad manufacturers! 3" per arm shouldn't be such a big ask. We all want it, just make it.) 2. Offer an insulated version of the short pad for winter camping please!
Good value, but not the most durable.
overall a good value for shorter trips, beginners, or people on a tight budget. i wouldn't rely on this for more than short trip of it was my primary pad. i carried this pad for the majority of my at thru hike. i paired it with a z-lite for added warmth in the colder seasons. it was a very comfortable pad, easy to inflate and quiet. i hammocked the entire trail, so the pad was well protected from the ground, but still i went through a couple of them because after a few hundred miles, the seams around the baffles would begin to give way and the pad would leak air. that was okay for me given how cheap they are to replace, and the fact that i could sleep fine in the warmer months with just my zlite. the couple of nights i slept in a shelter, i felt ground contact on my hips.

Very nice
Fast and efficient inflat and deflat. A bit not easy to wrap up

Short Static V Works Great
With the Short Klymit Static V I dropped over 1/4 lb and saved some bulk without really sacrificing 3-season comfort. First trip out I used the short pad on top of a 1/4" thick full-length foam pad and slept great under a 10 deg Enlightened Eqpt Revelation quilt with overnight temps down to 20 deg. Love it!
Perfect for kids
light, which is good cause the parents will probably end up carrying it. comfy, which is essential for a good sleep outside. inexpensive, in case the kids decide they hate camping, then the adult just bought themself a new ul pad 😉
