This mat sleeps great and has the best pump bag on the market.
i have the lw version and i am 5'10, 187 lbs. male. side sleeper. using for backpacking and prefer colder seasons in the southeastern states. tried other pads that gave me issues like my arm under me hurting as a side sleeper. and thrown off when you get close to the side on some. exped keeps you on the mat getting near the sides. if your arms flounder off the sides it doesn't feel they fell off a cliff like big tall pads. but you've got a generous 3". the fabric has a nice feel to it, not a plastic texture. very quiet fabric and insulation. slept at 15 degrees very well with a quilt. i am a cold sleeper by the way. also the pump bag having a large opening allows you to scoop air into it without blowing into it. very large but light. fast easy inflation. it also acts as a dry bag w/roll top feature and cap that can replace a stuff sack for other gear. so save 2oz? the pad is moderate in it's weight category which i don't mind because sleep is a big deal. 20d fabric. one way inflation with a separate fast dump cap. i knew the first night of sleep as did my wife that this is the pad that clearly sleeps the best. i also have since tried the new nxt version of neo air xtherm lw hoping for an improvement. clearly not as good of sleep and it would only be a 3 ounce weight savings but with more r-value. remember saving 2 oz. losing a stuff sack. exped's 4.8 is very sufficient for my needs. overall this mat sleeps so nice!
