Good flavor, still hungry
this was such a small pouch. it tasted great, but didn't rehydrate super well and ended up being a lot of broth and hardly any veg. thankfully, i had a packet of instant potatoes to add which helped some, but trailtopia is the same price and their servings feel like double.
Good flavor but small serving
The shepherd's pie had relatively good flavor with a mild blend of spices, but the "single" serving was more of a snack than even a light meal. Also, since it only used a small amount of water to rehydrate, there was not enough thermal mass to keep it hot for the time it took to complete the rehydration process.
Off Flavor, Didn't Rehydrate
i wanted to like this, but there was something about the flavor that was off. also, like other nomad nutrition meals, i couldn't get it to rehydrate fully. i let this on site an additional 15 minutes, all the time in an insulated envelope, and it seemed about 50% rehydrated. bummer
Not a shepherds pie
so awful! fool me for not reading the packaging but this was just a veggie stew that didn't rehydrate - it didn't resemble any shepherds pie i've ever eaten, meat or veggie. i feel offending on behalf of proper shepherds pies!
Didn't rehydrate, not tasty
as someone else said, this was the worst dehydrated meal i've ever tried. also was surprised bc shepards pie has mashed potatoes. that would help with the hydration problem... it's more like a stew but even reframing it that was halfway through the meal didn't help with the crunchyness
