The Saccus 48L is a frameless pack that features some of the most technologically advanced waterproof materials to create a pack that is both very lightweight and durable.

i bought this (saccus) to test out a frameless pack with some of the latest materials. i am 6' 3" tall and ordered the large in black. upon receiving the pack i was pleasantly surprised to see some features i wasn't expecting. like a bottom stow pocket for snacks, and some cord on the back to lash a pad to act as a frame. the ultra material looks very durable and is nicely seam sealed on the inside. all of the straps and hardware are nicely down-sized for what a lightweight pack like this needs, and nothing more. no oversized buckles or straps here. mine tips the scales at just a hair over 16 ounces. i added some popular brand hip-belt pockets and was able to attach them without any trouble. cam snaps on the roll-top are a nice touch. out on the trail the sizeable hip belt helps carry the load comfortably. i haven't felt the shoulder straps under load, but i haven't fully loaded this pack down yet either. two 1l smartwater bottles fit comfortably snug in the side pockets. the front pocket is nice and stretchy, but i do wish it was either slightly larger or had a more secure top edge. sometimes i feel like my rain jacket might fall out. on the shoulder straps there are daisy chains and there is one mesh pocket sewn on the left side. in summary, i was drawn to this pack because it's an ultralight, frameless pack weighing around one pound with a sizeable volume to stow things like extra food items when leaving town. it fits me well and i am impressed with the quality.
