A bit tricky, but still very useful

It can take some fiddling to get it to hold the umbrella in the right place, and can end up shifting a bit with enough movement, but it's still way better than having to hold an umbrella!

    Hand-free umbrella use.

Does the job very well. Requires some experimentation to get the umbrella not to obstruct forward vision - on a busy, narrow trail this is essential. The top fitting, in particular, is absolutely brilliantly designed for quick coupling and uncoupling, and suits many umbrellas - not just the Gossamer umbrella.

The umbrella holder works great but be careful about the lower elastic cord. I lost the first one and had to order it again. I love GGG! It caters to the backpacking community.

    Not sure

I have no idea how to use it. Comes with no instructions.

It took me some fiddling around to find that I can't do it up on my left rucksack strap but can pn my right. Probly just the way I'm made. Seems to work okay. Haven't yet used it in earnest.
