Mixed feelings!! Not sure why the cord is so short. I had to go hunting in my house then finally just used one of the extra straps that comes with the tent to secure it up. Now it works great...but I didn't tie it tight enough and it shlumped down on my first trip. Please rethink with ties, Gossamer Gear, we're not that handy!!
For more than just GG tents
I really like this storage device. I've added this to both of my Durstan Xmid tents (1p and 2p) by just running some cordage to the small plastic D rings in the corners and using Prusik loops for the toggles. For as thin and light as the Top Shelf is, it holds a surprising amount and doesn't sag. For ten bucks and under an ounce I think its a really solid value.

It doesn’t fit
I couldn’t set it up because it is 6 or so inches to short to connect to the tent. I’d send it back but the shipping is probably more than the item itself. I don’t recommend buying.
