Salsa to die for.
Maharba Zapata started Salsa Queen as a single mother to provide for her seven young children. When Maharba completed her citizenship, she legally changed her name to SalsaQueen so she is fully committed! SalsaQueen selected the sugar skull as the logo since it is a symbol of 'Day of the Dead', which is a time to remember and celebrate loved ones that have passed on. It is a constant reminder of her first son who passed away from childhood leukemia at the age of just 19 months.
Salsa Queen started at local farmers' markets in Salt Lake City, Utah and has expanded into stores throughout the US. They continue to be family owned and take pride in ensuring the highest quality, best tasting salsas are in each container they sell! Their products have bold, authentic flavors with NO preservatives or fillers.
