The Piñon Bivy provides a waterproof floor with a water resistant upper to protect your quilt from spray and mist. Featuring an extra large mesh window and long U shaped zipper extending from waist level across the top, allowing for easy entry and exit. Designed to work well with both pyramid shelters and tarps.

ROBIC® high tenacity yarn and UTS coating provide extra tear strength, abrasion resistance, and it is less slick than a traditional silicone coating. Reduced seams in the floor for increased weather resistance. Full bug protection keeps the creepy crawlies at bay, making the bivy ideal for use under a tarp or floorless shelter.

Features:

  • Full bug protection
  • Extra large mesh panel over your head and torso  provides ventilation
  • Long zipper allows easy entry and exit
  • Bathtub style floor
  • Increased air permeability reduces condensation while remaining highly wind-resistant
  • Generous dimensions - allows room inside for gear storage. Both regular and wide versions fit 25" wide sleeping pads
  • Internal sleeping pad attachment
  • Tie loops at the head and foot to keep the bivy fabric off your face and quilt
  • Stake loops at the corners
  • Included stuff sack for storage (adds 0.25 ounces)

      Nice product and service!

To start with, GGG has a perfect service. This specific Bivy is not available in Europe as far as I know so I took the gamble to get it from the USA. Shipping was extremely fast and neat. Package was well packed. I can only say that it went smoothly. I tested the bivy in the garden and it is great. Lightweight and lots of space with my 192cm (6 feet, 3.6)? Thnx again GGG Greetings from the Netherlands

Cycling around the world - bivy setup

It’s a very nice bivy! I chose this one because I like the ample mesh and zip length. It’s made well. However I find that if you don’t wanna be eaten by mosquitoes you need to be in a down bag or they’ll bite you through the fabric, unless you pitch it very carefully, I often don’t get quite enough lift out of my pitches. I think this is an issue with many bivys from many brands so no hard feelings though! lol. I use this in combination with the TNT tarp and Zpacks Carbon pole.

      Love this bivy!

Roomy, easy to set-up, breathable, and has a number of great little quality-of-life features such as the small elastic straps for holding down my sleeping pad. Love knowing I'm supporting a small business, especially one that makes such a quality product. I've successfully set this up both with my Z-Poles and also by running a guye line overhead and tying off to that. My buddy got the same bivy and put together some little tensioning lines to go between his poles and the elastic loops on the bivy, and that seems to work the best of all the options!

      Surprisingly happy

i was really happy with this bivy. i took this out on an 8 day backpacking trip on the appalachian trail (high 40 and low 50's at night). i never before used a bivy of any type. i paired this with a tarp. it works best with the a frame setup. - setup is a breeze - stretch cord works best in my opinion - zipper opens and closes easy - no condensation. adds a little warmth. let's in a breeze - you can roll up your sleep pad and quilt in the bivy and stuff it in your pack. unroll it at camp and it's ready. that was my most liked part. the bathtub floor doesn't setup up like a perfect tub. the pitch has to be prefect in order to work. not every camp has the ideal setup. a couple nights i had to sleep with the mesh laying on my face and it didn't bother me. for the most part it worked perfect. i love this bivy and i'll keep using this on most of my trips
