Front and bottom spandura stretch pockets allow fast access to snacks and smaller items without having to open the zipper, and two internal pockets allow for greater organization so you spend less time searching for things and more time enjoying your surroundings. Reflective paracord on all zipper pulls keeps it visible by the light of your headlamp. Seams are NOT taped. Bag is water resistant.

I’ve never been very satisfied with hip belt pockets, so with my new pack I opted to go without and use a ***** pack instead. I picked up this Mudcat Designs bag because I loved its organization. Spot for my phone on the back, quick access snacks on the front & bottom, a zippered pocket on the inside as well as a decided main pocket. I used this for 22 days o the JMT as well as traveling to get there. I was able to fit my phone, permit, lunch and snacks for the day inside. I have only 2 cons: 1- the elastic pouches on the front & bottom. I wish the one on bottom was only open on 1 end, and I wish the opening one the big mesh had a bigger opening. 2- water will get in if it rains. Aside from these little things I still love the pack and will continue to use it.

This is now my favorite ***** pack. I absolutely love how it has so many pockets including a zippered pocket inside and stretchy pocket on the bottom. I also love the design on the stretchy front a pocket as it really helps secure items so they don’t fall out. So for me this design has all the features I would want and many that no one else sells in the ultralight market. I would say definitely get the longer strap length if you also have any intention of wearing it as a cross body sling. I got the shorter strap length because it was the only one in stock when I bought it from Garage Grown Gear. But it just gives me an excuse down the road to get another!

Small but mighty hip pack. I wanted to also use it as a sling around town but it’s pretty snug and the strap was a little narrow when carrying weight which gets uncomfortable on my neck. As a hip pack during hiking it worked well to carry quick access items. I appreciate the stretch pockets all over it so you can leave the zipper shut. Seems made for tough wear and zipper looks like it would keep out water.

I will never admit how many ***** packs I have gone through trying to find the perfect one. I finally found it! The size, the pockets for organization, and the material are top notch. Holds so much yet does not look like I am carrying a suitcase around my hips. Thank you!
