Titanium is tough stuff to work with, but it makes a great trowel. Thin but incredibly strong. Ultralight, nearly indestructible, cuts turf and small roots with ease. All of the shaping of the titanium metal is done with high heat, which makes the titanium stronger and gives it a unique surface coloration. The handles have a yellow coating for better gripping and visibility (harder to lose in the leaves) as well as a hole if you you want to add a thin cord or string. Extra layers of coating are used to pad the handle tip for even better comfort.
Most people go for my popular mid-size trowel, the "Big Dig".
The smallest "Original" and largest "Mega Dig" trowels are also available.

Great Trowel!
I had looked at plenty of reviews from others brands and when I took this on a recent winter camping trip, it was great! It cut through roots and never really got into any snags. Especially one of the times I was in a hurry, it was a life saver lol. I got the big version and I honestly think it was the best and goes well with the rest of my bathroom kit in my bag. The coating on the handle was very nice and didn't feel bad, as far as the edges or anything like that. A little did come off on the very edges I noticed when getting back home, but really gripping it, it still doesn't feel like it would dig into my hands at all. I'd highly recommend this trowel to anyone looking for a light weight and reliable trowel for your back country hikes/camp.

i love this trowel. it is super light weight and very capable of digging through roots and small rocks. i was very conflicted on which one to get, the big dig or the mega dig. i ended up going with the mega dig and i am extremely happy i did. it is not as big i was expecting. i think it is the perfect size. the only reason i gave this product 4 stars is because the yellow coating handle started to wear off after the first trip i used it on.
