Jen Loofbourrow's journey in apparel began as a materials developer at lululemon in Vancouver, then a lingerie and swimwear retail store owner in Ireland, and later, a wholesale and operations manager at Swedish women's brand Skhoop in Anchorage, Alaska. These jobs formed building blocks for what Jen realized is her passion: making outdoor apparel staples for a multitude of adventures and activities, using fabrics she believes in, and being an excellent employer for her dedicated and creative team.
Jen's experience with expeditions kayaking the outer islands of Alaska's southeast coastline, extended traveling and backpacking trips, as well as her regular, normal life activities (a quick hike after work, or biking around the block with the kids and dog) inspire the products at Alpine Fit. Variable conditions, no access to laundry for weeks at a time, and limited space - when one can take only essential basics - means each piece of gear has to perform. More than that, Jen knows that every person has unique body characteristics, and that the standard fit offered by most brands does not work for all. Alpine Fit works tirelessly to design and refine products for more people to be able to find their perfect fit with their clothes.
