The V2 is the evolution of the original Simple Pack by Pa'lante Packs. It's designed with the first bottom pocket as well as integrated shoulder strap pockets to carry whatever you need access to. It's a frameless pack that includes a stashable hip belt, adjustable side pockets, and a designated stake pocket.
The V2 is Pa'lante Packs' standard for comfortably carrying light, low-volume gear.

- Mesh bottom stash pocket accessible from the right side with a trash portal on the left side for easy access to snacks or other items while hiking

- Large side pockets that are designed to be accessible while hiking and can hold up to two 1-liter bottles each
- Side tension lock shock cords can be used to secure taller gear in the side pockets, provide pack compression, or to hang things to dry
- Duel shoulder strap pockets are designed to hold a phone or snacks
- Adjustable sternum strap with a safety whistle
- Stashable lower ice axe loop
- Large enough to hold a BV500 bear canister vertically

Absolutely fantastic backpack, great for going super light and moving fast. Use with a pack liner and you're good to go. Great to support smaller brands with incredible designs. Bottle packets on the straps is a game changer. Stowable hip straps is a great plus too.
United StatesGood, comfortable pack but not ultraweave is not waterproof
Bought the Ulltraweave version for a 10 day hike around Mont Blanc. The straps are comfortable, pack is simple to use and carried well. Hip belt can take a small amount of weight off shoulders. Water bottle pockets are generously sized and you can reach them while hiking. I bought the Ultreaweave version assuming it would be waterproof. We hiked through a day of pouring rain. The pack leaked everywhere. Fortunately, I had a pack liner or everything would have been soaked. Also, in comparison to other packs (such as Hyperlite), it lacks in load compression straps. Just two small cords on the side. They're only good for sunglasses or a snack.

The Pa’lante V2 allowed me to get my base weight down to 8 pounds. This 37L pack is the perfect size and the bottom stash pocket for on the go food and wrappers along with the shoulder strap pockets put everything within hand reach on the trail. The large outside stretch pocket with a tent stake compartment provides easy access to rain gear or a sun hat. The side pockets can easily hold four 1L bottles of water if needed. The hip belt can be stashed as well as the ice axe loop. Pa’lante has thought of everything in this UL pack with attention to detail and quality. I’m glad I decided to purchase two of these V2 packs from GGG because their customer service has been exceptional. They shipped my orders fast and responded to my questions quickly. The Pa’lante V2 got me to my goal of an 8 lbs base weight, I love the simplicity and comfort of this pack. Now I know why Jupiterhikes recommends the Pa’lante line of ultralight backpacks. They are well made and incorporate so many special features for the UL backpacker who wants to put higher trail miles in each day. Well done Pa’lante!
