Seal Silnylon Tent Seams and Stay Dry
Seam sealing with Seam Grip SIL is the best way to keep moisture out when using a silnylon (silicone-nylon) tent. Previously known as SilNet, this clear sealant dries to a flexible rubber that works on all silicone treated gear including nylon tarps and ultralight backpacks. A single 1.5oz tube can seal up to 24 ft of seams. Fast and easy to use, it’s also handy for pinhole repairs and small tears.
When you need to waterproof a silnylon tent only a silicone sealant will work, because silicone will only adhere to silicone. So, treat gear right and seal out the weather with Seam Grip SIL.
Features:
- Compatible – Bonds to silicone treated fabrics to prevent water from seeping through seams
- Waterproof – Provides a water-tight seal that won’t peel or crack over time, keeping you warm and dry
- Long-lasting – Rubber sealant seals seams and patches pinhole leaks for repairs that last for years
- Flexible – Cures to an elastic, rubber seal that flexes and stretches with high performance gear
- Weather-resistant – Tough formula is not affected by extreme heat or cold

Used to Repair Sleeping Pad Pinhole Leaks
Seems to work great, thoigh no long term experience yet. Would prefer to buy in a smaller size tube.
Great Product
Works as advertised. Gotta be patient when seam sealing, though. Also remember to stretch the fabric perpendicular to the seam so that the sealant can get into the actual seam.
Gear aid
Got a six moon lunar solo and had to seal seams …. Perfect amount in the tube and pretty easy to use…. Get a syringe though and you can get a nice looking seal - direct from tube lends itself to using more than necessary and tougher to do a neat job.
Easy to use and does its job well.
I bought this just to paint some strips on the floor of my tent to keep pads in place, but I plan on using it to seal seams in the future (if it's still any good). For the immediate purpose of painting strips on the floor, it worked quite well! Dispense, spread a bit, let it dry. No prob!
Easy diy
Have had my tent in the rain yet, but this was easy to apply without too much of a mess. Didn't need to dilute with mineral spirits or anything.
