This product offers an all-day, skin soothing, protective barrier against chafing and irritation. The specialized formula prevents heat, sports, and ocean chafing while providing soothing relief for winter skin!
The tubes are made from 50% PCR Material – PCR stands for Post Consumer Resin, a recycled plastic. PCR plastics are the recycled materials from existing PET bottles and other plastics. The PCR is sourced from single use packaging – in particular, milk packs that have entered into the recycling channel. Using PCR is beneficial for carbon footprint reduction, lighter weights and savings in energy and material consumption, benefitting the planet.

Salty Britches Chafing Ointment was formulated to not melt in the heat. Because it will become harder to squeeze in colder climates, they formulated the Winter Skin Relief. Winter Skin Relief will liquify in the heat bit not freeze in the cold. The Chafing Ointment is more robust. Both contain the same ingredients but different levels.

I used this backpacking over the 4th of July weekend to try to prevent chaffing on my thighs while hiking in shorts. Not only did it not prevent chaffing, the product is so thick and sticky that it caused my thighs to stick more than they normally would and chaff horrifically. The only thing that saved the hike was the fact that it's so sticky that I was able to get my shorts to stick to it so that the shorts material rubbed instead of my skin... it literally glued my shorts to my leg through miles of hiking through summer heat. Idk where/how everyone else is using this but I cannot fathom it doing a good job for anyone.

Essential for every hike.
they make smaller single packs which are great but i found i end up needing this after any hike over two hours so i purchased the big tube and this lives in my hygiene bag. this stuff makes any chaffing much less painful and if put on early can help prevent a bad chaff or rub rash. highly recommend for anyones daily, overnight, or long hikes.
